3 Microsoft Word Printing Tips

Microsoft users are always interested in tips for using the Microsoft suite, particularly Microsoft Word which is used by most persons. Printing tips are just as essential as learning to use Microsoft word. Below are three Microsoft Word tips for printing.

Tip one: Use Automatically Print Document Properties
A popular Microsoft Word printing tip is to use the Automatically Print Document Properties. This can be located by opening a document, clicking on the file menu bar, and then selecting properties. Microsoft word 2003 will then display the title, subject, author, and keywords of the document in use. Individuals who enter this information repeatedly may consider it useful when they print a document, to incorporate a copy of a text after the document has been printed. This usually makes the categorization of hard copies of files easier.

To access the Automatically Print Document Properties when a Microsoft Word 2003 document is being printed:
1. Select Tools from the menu bar option.
2. Select Options.
3. After the Options dialog box becomes visible, select the Print tab.
4. Below Include with document, insert a tick beside Document properties.
5. Select OK.

Tip two: Print a draft copy of your documents
Printing a draft copy of your documents is a recommended tip to assist in the reduction of time, and money spent on buying inks or toners. Draft copies of documents can be printed as soon as they are edited. Draft copies can be printed by doing the following steps.

Note: This feature is not supported by all versions.
1. Select Tools from the menu bar option.

2. Select Options.
3. After the Options dialog box becomes visible, select the Print tab.
4. Below Include with document, insert a tick beside Draft output.
5. Select OK to close the dialog box.

Tip three: Print Preview multiple pages at once
Monitors with high resolution (1024x768 the least), will allow you to preview multiple pages simultaneously with the use of Microsoft Word 2003. This minimizes the time spent in the proofreading process, in addition to giving an idea of the documentations’ flow from one page to the next. This can be done by opening a document to preview, clicking on the file menu bar, and then selecting select print preview. The Multiple pages button is a green square that has four smaller white squares inside, this is located by selecting the left zoom pull-down option. The option of selecting your desired amount to view simultaneously, whether horizontally or vertically is also available.
