The HP Photosmart D5160 printer is a color photo printer. The device has the ability to print at up to speeds of 31 pages per minute. The HP Photosmart D5160 can also print directly onto CDs or DVDs, which allows you to personalize the design of every disc that you create. Unfortunately, you may encounter issues using the Photosmart D5160 over time. Luckily, you can fix many of your printer's problems on your own.
Instructions
1. Remove your SD card from your HP Photosmart D5160 if the printer does not recognize the memory card. Reinsert the card back into the printer. Alternatively, power the printer on and off to force the device to recognize the external memory.
2. Unplug your printer from the wall outlet if it will not power on. Wait at least ten seconds and then plug the printer back into the wall and power it on.
3. Ensure that your Photosmart D5160 printer's tray is extended out all the way if you find that your printed pages are falling off the printer and onto the floor. Lengthen the tray by pulling on the gray tab at the very edge of the print tray. Continue to extend the tray until you hear a click, which indicates that the tray is fulled extended.
Unplug your Photosmart D5160 printer from the wall if you experience a paper jam. Remove the access door, which is located on the back of the device. Pull out any dislodged paper and replace the access door. Plug the printer back in and resume using it.
