Mac is a highly upgraded device and one of the most advanced technology today. Though said to be,we have to be ready on possible errors that will occur. The common problems are mostly on MacBooks.

* Randomly shutdown or blackout with no response
* Failing to start, basically colored vertical lines on screen where computer stop responding.
* Mac serial ports problems like can't communicate with an external modem, printer or other device attached to your printer or modem ports.

These problems can be resolved by resetting your mac's PRAM also called as zapping. PRAM or Parameter Random Access Memory has settings that can effect communications with devices attached to your serial ports. How will you do this? Let me explain the procedure of resetting PRAM on mac.

1. You need to shut down your computer.
2. Hold and press keys Command, Option, P and R before the gray screen appears. You will hear a sound or chime if done successfully.
3. Hold the keys until the computer restart. Zapping clears up variety of hardware mac problems.
