From time to time you might get strange errors from your printer. To decode these cryptic messages, either look them up on the net or refer to the owners manual. These messages could reveal the there might be a resource conflict or that something is wrong with the hardware.

4. PAPER JAM

Sometimes paper jams are really obvious however other times they are completely transparent and there is really no indication that the paper has jammed up the printer, other than opening it up and doing a visual inspection just to make sure.

5. PRINTER SMEARS INK

Usually this happens when the print heads are really dirty. Take the printer cartridges out and visually inspect them. If they are dirty you can use a Q-tip and some rubbing alcohol and gently clean off the grime.
